Illinois Dept. of Central Management Services, Bureau of Communications
and Computer Services: Statewide Fiber Optic Network. Fiber Optic Project
Engineer responsible for the planning, design, bidding, and support for the
installation of the State of Illinois ICN Long Haul Fiber-Optic Network that is being
designed as a DWDM architecture and will operate over a combination of new,
existing and leased fiber spanning 2,339 miles. The Illinois Broadband Opportunity
Partnership project is constructing more than 1,000 miles of new fiber while
upgrading just over 1,000 miles of the state’s existing education network, Illinois
Century Network (ICN), which provides a gateway to advanced online applications
for K-12 schools, libraries, and non-research higher education institutions. (2010 –
2013). Also Includes design for Illinois State University facilities and customers.

- Launched Campus Fiber network project (Joliet Junior College) for CCS
